  • India, China, US Rated World's Most Attractive Solar Markets
    2022 - 11 - 16 India, China, US Rated World's Most Attractive Solar Markets
According to the latest edition of Ernst & Young’s renewables attractiveness index rates India as the top market for solar investment while Spain, Germany and the United States are the top three markets for corporate power purchase agreements. London-based Ernst & Young (EY) has once again ranked India as the most attractive destination for PV investment in its latest Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Index. The country received a score of 62.9, followed by China and the United States, with scores of 61.1 and 58.5, respectively. Australia, Israel, Germany, Egypt, France, Brazil and Morocco completed EY’s top 10. For overall renewables investment, the U.S. ranked first, followed by China, and then Germany, which moved up one spot from last year. China is expected to add 100 GW of solar this year, according to the China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute. Germany’s rise to third place was reportedly bolstered by its Easter package commitment to renewables. The United Kingdom lost its spot in the top three, taking fourth place. France, Australia, India, Spain, Japan and the Netherlands rounded out the top 10. With the growth of the solar market, we Xiamen Xhfsolar Industrial Co., Ltd., continues to supply our professional and high quality solar mounting systems to our world-wide customers.  The report also ranks markets in terms of the attractiveness of renewable power procurement via offsite corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs). “The volume of power generation committed through PPAs in 2022 is set to be less than 2021, although higher than 2020,” the report says, noting that this will be the first year-on-year reduction in signed corporate PPAs since 2013. Key factors in the reduction include uncertainty around government policy and rapidly changing cost profiles, according to EY. Spain remained the most attractive PPA market in 2022, with Germany overtaking the United States for second place. The United Kingdom, Australia and France completed the top five. EY also introduced a new renewables attractiveness ranking, normalised to countries’ gross domestic product. It highlighted Morocco, Chile and Portugal as markets performing above expectations for their economic size.

  • Duke Energy offers new cost-effective way for Florida customers to use solar
2022 - 04 - 15 Duke Energy offers new cost-effective way for Florida customers to use solar
Duke Energy, one of America's largest energy holding companies, is inviting residential, small/medium business and income-qualified customers in Florida to register to subscribe to the company's new community solar program—Clean Energy Connection. With the subscription, customers can receive bill credits for the solar energy generated by their participation and lower their costs over time without installing or maintaining their own solar systems. There are still a lot of families want to install solar panels to their own house top.  With the solar roof mounting systems, or, solar ground mounting systems, you can do the installation without damaging your current rooftop.  Although the investment may seem a little bit expensive at the beginning, but you will also achieve the full payback soon. Contact us at www.xhfsolar.com for more varieties of solar mounting systems.   Specifically, to enjoy the benefits, customers need to subscribe to the "kilowatt blocks" of solar power from the company's Clean Energy Connection solar portfolio. The monthly subscription fee will help pay for the construction and operation of the company's solar plants and is conveniently added to a customer's regular electric bill. Currently, the monthly subscription fee is priced at $8.35 per kW. A customer who consumes approximately 1,000 kWh per month could subscribe to the 4- or 5-kilowatt block to cover their entire monthly consumption. Subscribers receive bill credits based on their subscription size and the amount of solar energy produced by the Clean Energy Connection solar facilities each month. According to the company, participating customers can achieve a seven-year full payback, with bill credits first exceeding subscription fees in around three to five years. As long as the customer remains in the program for seven years, the annual bill credits are projected to be more than the subscription costs, creating real savings.

  • Tech advances halving surface needed for ground-mount solar
    2022 - 11 - 09 Tech advances halving surface needed for ground-mount solar
According to PV Magazine France report on Nov. 7th, French developer VSB Energies Nouvelles was able to almost double the capacity of one of its PV projects due to technological advances such as high-powered panels and new plant design concepts. France's VSB Energies Nouvelles has started building a 9 MW solar power plant on a former gravel and sand pit, clay and kaolin extraction site in Druelle Balsac, southern France. The project was originally supposed to have a capacity of just 5 MW.  “The project participated in a tender held by the CRE in 2016,” Jérémie Baccar, PV development manager for VSB Energies Nouvelles, told PV Magazine France. “Then, during the development phase between 2016 and 2021, technological developments allowed us to almost double the installed power of the park, without changing the surface area.” He said that about 30% of this increase resulted from the evolution of the solar modules, which reached higher power outputs. “The Soleil de Balsac project was initially planned to have around 26,500 modules with each a power of 300 W,” said Baccar. “In its final configuration, it will have approximately 40,000 modules with each an output of 550 W, which will be provided by a Chinese manufacturer.” Xiamen Xhfsolar Industrial Co., LTD is a professional manufacturer for ground-mount solar systems.  With our 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and exportation, we can offer our solar structure components in very competitive prices.   In its final configuration, the project also benefited from its optimized layout and the inter-row spacing of the modules – a densification that facilitated a power gain of 55%. “Important work has been carried out by our development teams to find the optimum between the shading resulting from the bringing together of the modules due to narrower rows and the gain in production obtained thanks to the increase in the number of panels on the park,” said Baccar. VSB Energies Nouvelles currently has 2GW of solar under development. Its projects include floating arrays, agrivoltaic installations, PV carports, and large rooftop solar projects.

Oman Power and Water Procurement Co. (OPWP) has launched a tender to select independent power producers to build a 500 MW solar park. Such installations consist of hundreds of thousands of ground mounted solar panels that absorb energy from the sun, generate an electric current and distribute that power on high-voltage power lines. The electricity travels along those power lines to the electricity grid, eventually making its way to your home.   The Ibri III Solar IPP Project will be built in Ibri, a city in the governorate of Ad Dhahirah, in northwestern Oman. It will be commissioned by the fourth quarter of 2026. Interested developers have until Dec. 7 to submit their bids. The project is the fourth 500 MW solar plant to be tendered by OPWP. Only one is currently online – the 500MW Ibri 2 solar project, which was inauguratedin January after a 13-month construction period. All of the projects are part of the Omani government’s plan to add around 4 GW of renewables capacity by 2030. Beyond utility-scale project development, the target will be supported by the country's new regulation for rooftop PV, which was announced in 2018.

2022 - 10 - 28 Netherlands may add 3.3 GW of new solar by the end of 2022
According to state-run agency RVO, solar may reach 17.6 GW of installed capacity by year-end, thus becoming able to cover more than 12% of the country’s electricity demand. The Netherlands may add another 3.3 GW of new PV capacity in 2022, which would be enough to bring its installed solar power to a total of 17.6 GW. We Xiamen Xhfsolar Industrial Co., Ltd. provides roof solar mounting systems and solar carport systems for residentials and commercials will help you obtain the long-term benefits from solar power. This emerges from new numbers released by the country's state-run Rijksdienstvoor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO) agency, which reveals that, if the above-mentioned numbers will be confirmed by actual deployment, all PV systems installed in the country may cover more than 12% of its electricity demand. The RVO cites examples of projects where solar is not finally deployed , such as owing to rooftop constructions found to be unsuitable for solar modules, or where new projects are not immediately connected due to grid congestion. Moreover, the RVO reported that the installed PV capacity reached 14.4 GW at the end of 2021, when solar accounted for around 9.3% of total power demand. Most of this capacity – 8.6 GW – comes from systems exceeding 15 KW, with the remaining 5.8 GW represented by smaller installations. Furthermore, the agency said around 3.5 GW of new PV installations were connected to the grid in the Netherlands in 2021. This exceeds by around 200 MW the data released by the Dutch Central Agency for Statistics in March, when the newly installed solar capacity was estimated at around 3.3 GW. A recent report from the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) stated that the Netherlands could reach up to 132 GW of PV by 2050.
